Position Summary
Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, the Human Resources Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the day‑to‑day HR operations of Instylla, Inc., a fast‑growing medical device company. This is an entry‑level position ideal for someone looking to build a career in Human Resources, with meaningful exposure across HR Operations, Compensation & Benefits, Employee Lifecycle, and Talent Acquisition.
Human Resources Coordinator
Location: Bedford, MA
Work Schedule: On‑site four days per week Monday‑Thursday, Fridays can be remote
Job Responsibilities
HR Operations & Administration
Serve as the initial point of contact for employee HR‑related questions and requests
Assist in communicating company policies and ensuring consistent application
Maintain and update the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to ensure accuracy and completeness of employee records
Respond to employee inquiries in a timely, professional, and accurate manner
Ensure employee resources, documents, and tools are accessible and up to date
Perform daily HR administrative tasks to support smooth department operations
Compensation & Benefits
Support employee benefit enrollments and changes across benefit systems
Audit and maintain accurate benefit data and records
Answer employee questions related to benefits and elevate issues as appropriate
Assist with compensation data tracking and reporting as needed
Employee Lifecycle
Support all administrative aspects of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding and offboarding
Partner with the Head of HR to support the performance review and feedback process
Assist with maintaining employee documentation throughout employment
Talent Acquisition
Partner with HR leadership to ensure job descriptions are current and maintained
Post open positions through the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
Coordinate interviews and scheduling while ensuring a positive candidate experience
Communicate candidate status updates through the ATS in a timely and professional manner
Required Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in Human Resources or a related administrative role
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast‑paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively across teams
A positive, team‑oriented attitude with a genuine interest in working with people at all levels of the organization
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the medical device, biotech, or life sciences industry
Experience working in a small or growing company environment
Hands‑on experience with an HRIS and/or Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
Professional HR certification is a plus but not required
