Role Overview We’re seeking a Part-Time (4 days a week, Temp to Possible Hire) Accounting Assistant to join our Accounting team. This role will support vendor and system cleanups, transaction recording, compliance prep, and recurring journal entries. It’s a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience while learning directly from experienced accounting pros. Key Responsibilities Clean up historical vendor, payment, and miscellaneous system transactions Assist Staff Accountant with bank transaction coding and reconciliation Support Accounts Payable with W-9 collection and year-end 1099 filing Prepare recurring journal entries and assist with account reconciliations Assist with month-end sales tax variance review and cleanup Provide support for monthly and yearend close activities Respond to audit requests and prepare supporting documents Maintain accurate accounting records (digital and paper) Contribute to ad hoc projects, reporting, and other assigned tasks Requirements Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred) 1-2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP system (Preferred) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas; pivot tables and VLOOKUP a plus) Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Excellent communication and teamwork skills Pay Range: $20 - $23.50 per hour (Gale) Seniority level Entry level Employment type Part-time Job function Accounting/Auditing and Finance Industries Cosmetics #J-18808-Ljbffr
