Endoscopy Technician

Monitors levels of all endoscopy instruments and supplies. Follows written procedures for high-level disinfection and chemical and biological monitoring. Performs treatments and procedures within the defined scope of practice. Provides supportive care to patients under the direct supervision of a registered nurse and physician. Ensures the endoscopy suite is adequately prepared for procedures. Prepares the room in a timely manner with all anticipated supplies and equipment for each endoscopy procedure. Demonstrates competence in the care and accurate handling of specimens. Checks all equipment and instruments needed prior to each procedure to ensure proper functioning. Assists in positioning, prepping, and draping patients for endoscopy procedures. Maintains an orderly environment and anticipates the needs of the physician during procedures.

High School Grad or Equiv (Required), Technical/Vocational SchoolBasic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) - RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement, Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) - EV Accredited Issuing Body

Pay Range: $17.11 - $27.38
