A nationally recognized academic health system in the heart of North Carolina is seeking a team-oriented Nocturnist to join a collaborative hospitalist team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive environment focused on patient care, teaching, and professional growth.
Position Highlights:
Academic Faculty Nocturnist role
7-on/7-off block schedule
Join a collaborative team where nocturnists never work alone
Schedule includes rotations through teaching teams, rounding, admissions, consult service, and the Intermediate Care Unit
No procedures required (optional for interested candidates)
Supportive infrastructure with strong subspecialty support, a closed ICU, and dedicated rapid response/code teams
Epic EMR

PSLF eligible employer
You’ll also have robust opportunities to teach and mentor medical students and Internal Medicine residents, contribute to quality improvement, systems-based innovation, or clinical research, advance your own academic interests, and participate in institutional initiatives focused on patient safety, throughput, and team culture.
Position Requirements:
MD or DO with board certification/eligibility in Internal Medicine
Eligible for North Carolina medical licensure
Interest and passion for teaching and education
