Orthopaedic Hand Surgeon – Academic Opportunity at Loyola Medicine Loyola Medicine is seeking a fellowship-trained orthopaedic hand surgeon to join its academic practice. This role emphasizes excellence in patient care, a team-oriented approach, and scholarly contributions within a nationally ranked quaternary care system affiliated with Loyola University Chicago’s Stritch School of Medicine.

Description As an Orthopaedic Hand Surgeon at Loyola Medicine, you will be part of a clinically integrated team delivering high-quality care in a regional program. Responsibilities include providing specialized hand surgery services, participating in educational activities for medical students and residents, and engaging in scholarly pursuits. The position is based at Loyola University Medical Center (LUMC), a 547-bed flagship hospital featuring advanced facilities such as the Nancy W. Knowles Orthopaedic Institute, Level 1 trauma center, and comprehensive stroke center. You will collaborate across Loyola’s three-hospital system, including Gottlieb Memorial Hospital and MacNeal Hospital, serving communities in Cook, Will, and DuPage counties. This opportunity allows you to impact patient outcomes while training the next generation of physicians in a supportive academic setting.

Requirements

Fellowship-trained in hand surgery

Board-certified or board-eligible in orthopaedic surgery

Commitment to excellence in patient care and a collaborative, team-based approach

Interest in scholarly and educational activities within an academic environment

Eligible for medical licensure in Illinois

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive starting compensation ranging from $159,000 to $985,945, based on academic rank and experience
