We are continuing to grow and are adding an AWS Cloud Architect to our team! This person will work closely with our customers to build best-in-class enterprise web applications using modern day AWS/Cloud technologies. You will be a part of a thriving technical community, giving you the opportunity to constantly grow your development amongst top technical talent. SDG is looking for a hard worker with a team-oriented mindset, leadership experience, and has at least 5 years of experience working with AWS/Cloud technologies. AWS Compute (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, etc.)
AWS Storage (RDS, S3, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, Redshift, etc.)
AWS Networking & Security (VPC, AWS WAF, GuardDuty, SecretsManager, etc.)
Hybrid cloud architecture
Microservices architecture
Serverless architecture
Infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, etc.)
Unix/Linux
Java technologies & frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, etc.)
PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle
Modern JavaScript frameworks (ReactJS, Vue.js or Angular)
Agile Delivery
AWS DevOps
Proficiency following coding best practices
Requirements:
5+ years’ experience with AWS cloud solutions, architecture, related technologies, and their interdependencies
5+ years of software development experience, and comfortable and able to contribute in a development capacity
Excellent working knowledge of AWS Services, Compute, Relational and NoSQL Databases, Caching, Object and Block Storage, Scaling, Load Balancing, CDNs, Networking etc.
Excellent working knowledge of modern system integration and analytic services: API Gateway, EventBridge, Kinesis, Step Functions, SNS, SQS, and OpenSearch
Experience managing full AWS lifecycle, provisioning, automation and security
Experience implementing observable applications utilizing modern monitoring & alerting technologies
Experience analyzing and optimizing performance in large distributed systems
Experience assessing client’s workloads and technology landscape for Cloud suitability, develop business case and cloud adoption roadmap.
Experience in designing cloud networks, multitenant, including on-premises and external services connectivity.
Experience defining new architectures and ability to drive project from an architecture standpoint
Experience designing and provisioning resilient production systems that scale to meet demand
Experience with cloud migrations
Experience with evaluations and estimations
Experience with business development activities
Experience with presentations to customer leadership
Prior consulting or professional services experience is a plus
AWS Certifications is a plus
Education degree or certification in Computer Science, or the equivalent related work experience
