Job Description
New Way Ford is seeking an experienced Service and Parts Director to lead our fixed operations department. This role is responsible for overseeing the service and parts functions of the dealership, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient operations, and profitability.
The ideal candidate will be a hands‑on leader with proven success managing high‑performing service and parts teams. This individual will drive accountability, improve processes and foster a culture.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations for the service, parts, and warranty departments
Develop and implement strategies to increase efficiency, profitability, and CSI scores
Lead, mentor, and train service and parts staff to meet and exceed performance goals
Monitor technician productivity, repair order accuracy, and parts inventory managementEnsure compliance with manufacturer warranty and repair guidelines
Manage expense controls and department budgets while maximizing gross profit margins
Partner with sales and finance departments to improve internal communication and workflow
Review daily financials, scheduling, and reporting to maintain smooth operations
Maintain a strong focus on customer retention and satisfaction
Identify and address any bottlenecks in service scheduling or repair processes
Promote ongoing professional development and a positive team environment
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in a dealership service management or fixed operations leadership role
Proven success in managing high‑performing service and parts departments
Strong understanding of dealership financials, including forecasting and budget control
Ford dealership experience or other OEM service operations preferred
Exceptional communication and leadership skills
Ability to train, motivate, and hold team members accountable
Familiarity with DMS systems such as CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or Dealertrack
Strong organizational skills with a focus on process consistency and attention to detail
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
