Position Summary
The Dentist provides comprehensive oral healthcare services, including preventive, restorative, and diagnostic dental care. This role focuses on promoting oral health, diagnosing and treating dental conditions, and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a clinical setting. Key Responsibilities
Examine, diagnose, and treat diseases, injuries, and malformations of the teeth, gums, and oral tissues Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Perform preventive services, including exams, cleanings, fluoride treatments, and patient education Provide restorative and cosmetic procedures such as fillings, crowns, bridges, and dentures Diagnose and manage periodontal disease and oral infections Interpret dental radiographs and diagnostic tests Prescribe medications as appropriate, including antibiotics and pain management Educate patients on oral hygiene, disease prevention, and treatment options Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant dental records Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and administrative staff to ensure efficient clinic operations Qualifications
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited dental school Active or eligible state dental license Current DEA registration or eligibility (if applicable) CPR/BLS certification Skills and Competencies
Strong clinical and diagnostic skills in general dentistry Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail Strong communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to patient-centered, ethical, and evidence-based care Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based dental practice Work Environment
Dental office or clinic setting Full-time or part-time schedules may be available May include occasional evenings or weekend hours depending on practice needs Must maintain state certification and/or licensure. LANGUAGE: Must be able to fluently speak, read and write English. Fluent in Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin), Vietnamese, Spanish and other languages may be required depending on location. Fluency in other languages are an asset.
