JOB DESCRIPTION The Director of Strategic Sourcing for Digital and Technology Services partners closely with the Vice President of Strategic Sourcing to drive strategy and supplier excellence across the company’s digital, linear, and streaming platforms, encompassing technology services and content distribution across both traditional and next‑generation media ecosystems.

The Director of Strategic Sourcing will play a pivotal part in developing and executing sourcing strategies, building cross‑divisional relationships, supporting complex negotiations, and supplier partnerships that drive innovation, operational efficiency, and business impact. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of the media and entertainment ecosystem, is a self‑starter with exceptional communication skills, and a strong commitment to transparency, collaboration, and accountability.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Support to the Vice President of Strategic Sourcing

Partner closely with the VP to execute strategic sourcing initiatives and deliver measurable business outcomes

Prepare and analyze data, supplier performance metrics, and executive‑ready presentations to inform strategic decision‑making

Manage and coordinate cross‑functional initiatives, ensuring accountability, progress tracking, and timely execution

Promote transparency, alignment, and proactive communication across the sourcing organization and business units

Strategic Vision

Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies across digital and streaming ecosystems

Collaborate with senior leaders in Emerging Technology, Product, Platform, Distribution, Ad Sales, Content Operations, Legal, and Finance to ensure sourcing initiatives align with corporate and divisional priorities

Anticipate business needs and proactively identify opportunities to optimize cost, quality, and performance

Identify and deliver opportunities for innovation, process improvement, and value creation across the sourcing lifecycle

Category & Supplier Management

Lead sourcing for key categories, including:

Digital platforms & streaming infrastructure (cloud services, encoding, DRM, automation, CDN, and immersive technologies)

Ad tech, data analytics, and measurement (SSP/DSP platforms, audience data providers, data warehouses, attribution tools)

Enterprise software and SaaS solutions supporting content, operations, and data systems

Operational Excellence

Manage a fast‑paced, high‑volume workload by applying strong prioritization and effective time management

Deliver measurable business results through cost savings, total cost of ownership (TCO) optimization, and process improvements

Collaborate with Commercial and Privacy Legal, InfoSec, and Finance teams to manage contract compliance, licensing, and vendor risk

Utilize sourcing tools (Impendi) and procurement systems (Coupa) to track KPIs, spend visibility, and supplier performance

Support strategic sourcing initiatives through data collection, analysis, and reporting

Foster a high‑performance culture emphasizing accountability, innovation, and collaboration

Stakeholder & Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong, trust‑based relationships with internal stakeholders across divisions to align sourcing initiatives and business needs

Communicate sourcing strategies and outcomes clearly and consistently to leadership and cross‑functional partners

Act as a connector between business units, ensuring collaboration, transparency, and mutual understanding of sourcing priorities

Influence stakeholders to make informed, strategic decisions that support enterprise objectives

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

Bachelor’s degree

7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, business development, or supply chain, with significant experience in the media, entertainment, cable, or streaming sectors

Strong financial acumen with advanced Excel proficiency and the ability to analyze, interpret, and distill insights from complex and comprehensive data sets and commercial models

Proven success managing complex technology sourcing and large‑scale technology, content delivery, or ad‑tech contracts

Deep knowledge of digital, linear, and streaming operations, including OTT, VOD, distribution ecosystems, and immersive technology

Self‑starter who demonstrates initiative, accountability, and follow‑through. Willing to roll up sleeves, do foundational work, and test new approaches

Able to deftly prioritize, comfortable with ambiguity, unhindered by change and uncertainty, and can methodically work through complex problems

Transparent communicator who fosters collaboration and openness across all levels of the organization

Strategic thinker with strong analytical, problem‑solving, and negotiation skills

Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication abilities

Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Workspace tools

Familiarity with broadcast and digital technology stacks (Cloud, CDN, OTT, Ad tech, Data Warehouses)

Proficient in procurement systems (i.e., Coupa) and spend analytic tools

Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, matrixed, and evolving media environment

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $160,000.00‑178,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
