About NBCH NBCH is a vibrant, community centered Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) located in downtown New Bedford, MA. For 40+ years, we’ve delivered accessible, culturally competent care across southeastern Massachusetts. Our integrated model includes primary care, urgent care, behavioral health, dental, OBAT, and wellness services—designed to meet the full spectrum of our patients’ needs.
What You’ll Do
Deliver comprehensive primary care (well visits, chronic care, acute care, follow‑ups)
Manage complex family/internal medicine cases, including HIV, Hepatitis, and TB care
Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Collaborate with a team of passionate physicians, NPs, PAs, and behavioral health providers
Receive leadership coaching and begin building your skills in clinical oversight and team mentorship
Contribute to clinical protocols and best practice implementation
Play a key role in medical provider onboarding and education
You’re a Strong Fit If You:
Are an MD or DO graduate with five (5) or more years of clinical experience
Are Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Have a current Medical License
Hold active DEA/Controlled Substance Registration and BLS/CPR certification
Want to grow into a clinical leadership role while remaining active in patient care
Have a passion for working in underserved communities
Are motivated by teamwork, mentorship, and mission‑driven healthcare
(Bonus) Have EMR experience (we use EPIC) or are multilingual
