Role Overview

The Director of Materials Engineering will lead a cross-functional team with significant technical depth to execute complex, long-term research and development programs in the areas of materials science. This role will have direct leadership responsibility over a team that is conducting cutting-edge work that enables advanced manufacturing capabilities, specifically additive manufacturing. The Director will work closely with the Director of Manufacturing Process Engineering and other teams to ensure project milestones are met and the team has the resource capabilities needed to be successful. 10+ years' experience leading technical project teams 15+ years' experience executing technical projects Subject matter expertise in materials science, and related post-processes Experience managing complex projects on time and within budget while managing the expectations of multiple stakeholders Ability to develop and deliver program updates to executive stakeholders Strong understanding of project and changing management principles Experience working within a toll gate review process for development projects Ability to demonstrate flexibility and agility in a growing company Master’s or Ph.D. degree in a related field or equivalent, relevant experience The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $156,938-$220,163 base salary.
