A fast-growing back-office team is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead and oversee a team responsible for financial reporting and accounting operations for multiple healthcare entities. This role is primarily managerial and review-focused, with accountability for the timely and accurate delivery of financial statements, cost reports, and lender reporting, rather than day-to-day transactional processing.

The ideal candidate has deep experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) and Assisted Living accounting, understands OpCo/PropCo structures, and excels at managing teams, deadlines, and deliverables in a multi-entity healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

Leading, supervising, and developing an accounting team responsible for financial reporting and close activities

Assigning work, setting deadlines, and ensuring completion of all accounting deliverables

Reviewing team-prepared reconciliations, journal entries, financial statements, and supporting schedules

Serving as the primary point of accountability for reporting accuracy and timeliness

Overseeing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close across multiple entities

Ensuring accurate and timely OpCo and PropCo financial statements

Supporting preparation of SNF and ALF cost reports

Ensuring timely delivery of bank and lender reporting, including covenant compliance packages

Maintaining oversight of intercompany accounting, rent structures, and allocations

Establishing, documenting, and enforcing accounting policies and procedures

Identifying and implementing process improvements to strengthen controls and reporting efficiency

Ensuring compliance with GAAP, company policies, and healthcare regulatory standards

Partnering with senior leadership on financial reviews, audits, and special projects

Providing guidance, escalation support, and technical oversight to the accounting team

Ideal Qualifications

Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) accounting experience required

Demonstrated experience overseeing accounting teams and complex reporting deliverables

Strong understanding of PropCo/OpCo structures, intercompany accounting, and cost reporting

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred

Proven experience overseeing healthcare-related financial and cost reporting

Strong review, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Experience with Sage Intacct, including multi-entity and consolidated reporting

Familiarity with bank reporting, lender compliance, and audit coordination

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities

Salary : $150k - $200k/Year + DOE
