In the role of Vice President Communications and Corporate Affairs working in Chicago, IL you will be part of the Americas Legal, Communications, and Government Affairs team. You will lead the company’s unified communications strategy and consistent execution across employee engagement, consumer and commercial communications, corporate reputation, meetings and events, and guest relations. The role develops and maintains coordinated plans, processes and platforms necessary to effectively and efficiently reach a wide variety of audiences critical to delivering the company’s strategy. This position reports to the Chief Legal, Communications and Government Affairs Officer and works closely with senior leaders across the organization.
What You’ll Be Brewing
Lead and Develop Team: Build, mentor, and manage a high‑performing team supporting all business functions; foster collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Strategic Communications: Design and execute an integrated communications strategy across stakeholders and channels; craft narratives that reinforce company purpose, values, and vision.
Executive Advisory: Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on messaging priorities and positioning.
Community Engagement: Ensure responsible representation in communities and manage charitable investments and partnerships.
Crisis Management: Develop and lead crisis communication strategies; create playbooks for readiness and act as communications lead during crisis response.
Investor & Regulatory Communications: Partner with Investor Relations and Legal to deliver accurate strategic messaging to investors, analysts, and regulators; maintain consistency across all stakeholder touchpoints.
Public Affairs Collaboration: Work closely with Government Affairs to address public affairs gaps.
Authentic Leadership: Value and respect differences and believe everyone’s unique differences are key to collaboration and a winning team culture.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Communications or equivalent experience (4+ years) and at least 10 years of experience in communications.
Strong business acumen; quickly learn new concepts and adapt strategies based on market and business insights.
Skilled in managing external communications partners (PR, marketing agencies, brand influencers) to ensure alignment with company messaging and compliance.
Expertise in handling sensitive issues, crises, and high‑stakes communications in fast‑paced, complex environments.
Exceptional judgment, strategic thinking, and adaptability; able to take calculated risks and drive execution.

Pay and Benefits Salary range: $214,800.00 – $281,900.00 (posting salary range) + 35% target short‑term incentive + $100,000 target long‑term incentive. Employees average $23,000 in benefits, including health, dental, vision, retirement with above‑market employer match, wellness incentives, Employee Assistance Program, and paid time off (holidays, vacation, sick days).
