Schedules patients for same-day inpatient procedures, and orders appropriate blood work. Schedules patients for lab testing, ancillaries, physician appointments, ICD and pacemaker appointments. Coordinates inpatient transfers and admissions. May input and edit master schedule./ppResponsibilities:/pulliSchedules patients for same-day inpatient procedures./liliSchedules patients for laboratory testing, ancillaries, physician appointments, ICD and pacemaker appointments, and outreach./liliNotifies patients of appointments, labs, testing, procedures and preparation./liliNotifies physicians, technicians, and nurses of special needs and situations of patients./liliCoordinates inpatient transfers and admissions./liliMay input and edit the master schedule./liliObtains and documents authorizations and pre-certifications prior to lab testing, physician appointments for outpatient and same-day procedures while notifying Clinic Administration concerning changes in patient insurance prior to the appointment or procedure day./liliCoordinates daily procedure and weekly schedules./liliDelivers day sheets, schedules, and procedures folders to physicians, nurses, labs and the same-day department. Processes laboratory day sheets from previous day./liliObtains films, reports, and patient histories for procedures, testing, and physician appointments./liliProcesses, uploads, and files reports./liliNotifies physicians of meetings, conferences, and patient procedure dates./liliMaintains logs, codes NNE reports, and runs monthly reports./liliMaintains an adequate stock of supplies, brochures, and forms./liliMonitors and keeps rotaries updated./liliPerforms other duties as required or assigned./li/ulpQualifications:/pulliAssociates degree with 1 year of experience working in a fast-paced hospital setting, or the equivalent in education and experience required./liliFamiliarity with word processing techniques and medical terminology required./liliMust be detail oriented and possess the ability to organize, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks simultaneously./liliExcellent communication and interpersonal skills required./li/ulpRequired Licensure/Certifications - None/ppArea of Interest: Secretarial/Clerical/Administrative/ppPay Range: $18.73/Hr. - $29.04/Hr./ppFTE/Hours per pay period: 1.00 - 1.00 - 40 hrs/week/ppShift: Day/ppJob ID: 36488/ppDartmouth Health offers a total compensation package that includes a comprehensive selection of benefits.
