Job Description Job Description Now Hiring in Herrin, IL Production Worker: Responsible for working with small pieces using great dexterity with fingers and hands during material prep, assembling of small parts, and operating machinery. Excellent hand-eye coordination is a must. Various responsibilities may include (but not limited to) material prep & handling, assembling, packing and inspecting product while accurately documenting data. This is a safety sensitive position. Candidate must have the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. Starting temp pay is $16/hr. Full-Time (40 hour/week) – Monday-Friday 6:30am- 3:00pm (summer schedule) and 7:30a – 4p (fall-spring schedule- might start in September if temp work carries over. Essential Functions: 1. Detail Oriented 2. Assembling of Small Pieces (must have great dexterity with fingers and hands while assembling small parts and operating machinery) 3. Accurately Documenting Data Daily 4. Machinery Setup 5. Machine Operator 6. Basic Math Skills 7. Material Preparation 8. Labeling Containers 9. Accurately Weighing Buckets to Determine Piece Counts 10. Packing & Inspecting IMPORTANT – must be focused and detailed oriented 11. Some Forklift Driving 12. Working with hands and standing on feet all-day 13. Ability to lift 50 lbs 14. Ability to Handle Stress and Get Along with Others 15. Ability To Work Independently 16. Candidate must have the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. 17. Other Duties As Assigned… Requirements: 1. Proven Safety Record 2. 3 years manufacturing experience, proven machine operating and assembly experience 3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills 4. Lifting requirements of 50 lbs 5. Reliable/Dedicated/Competent individual- Able to work with little or no supervision 6. Team Player – with a Positive Mental Attitude! 7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & tolerate extreme heat 8. HS/GED Required 10.
