Responsibilities

Collaborate with business customers to cultivate an intimate understanding of their needs and technology, and then drive the entire technology project lifecycle to make digital tools work for customers in our stores and across the company.

Mentor or review the work of lower-level professionals.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree or comparable formal training, certification, or work experience.

5+ years of experience in project management at a Senior Project Manager level or above.

Experience successfully working on complex issues with senior and executive management.

Experience successfully thriving in a fast‑paced, change‑oriented work environment.

Project Management

Manages delivery of multiple concurrent projects and products.

Leverages project management skills throughout project delivery life cycle with limited oversight.

Defines and manages project scope, schedule, budget with line of business and Digital Tech solutions leaders.

Determines project deliverables (e.g., communication, risk, resources, architecture, implementation, quality plans).

Accepts accountability for making the right decisions to ensure projects meet scope, timelines, and budgets.

Monitors project status; communicates expectations and status to team members, stakeholders in a timely manner.

Drives and develops effective work estimations.

Communicates risks and issues quickly and accurately via status reports, e‑communications, project meetings.

Applies business and functional subject matter knowledge to drive project outcomes and objectives.

Leads and maintains client and stakeholder partnerships.

Develops best practices and tools.

Analyzes projects; executes conclusion plans.

Monitors contract compliance with software and consulting services companies.

Influences strategic project decisions and work prioritization at leadership level.

May coach and mentor other Project Managers and Business Systems Analysts.

Technical

Proficient in tools such as Jira, Confluence, Lucid, Figma, Google Looker Studio, etc.

Proficient in planning and managing projects using standard SDLC project management principles and best practices (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).

Proficient resource‑management skills: navigating cross‑functional digital resources and teams, finding what they need to answer questions and solve problems.

Oversees project management deliverable structure, content, outcomes, and value to the organization.

Proficient experience in assessing and leading through project risk, issues, and scope change.

Proficient in producing and interpreting project performance using standard project measurements and metrics.

Proficient in project governance to keep projects on track financially, technically, and in accordance with stakeholder deadlines.

Proficient with a variety of and competent in leveraging estimating tools and techniques (e.g., Planning Poker).

Proficient knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall methods and frameworks (e.g., Safe, LeSS, DAD).

Oversees and advises on project management issues and drives the overcoming of barriers.

Proficient in communicating technical topics to others and creates and leads through communication plans.

Manages a variety of in‑house/custom or packaged projects.
