Collaborate with the West Virginia District Director and the transportation industry experts to maintain and grow Burgess & Niple’s presence as a premier planning consultant in West Virginia, Ohio, and beyond. We’re seeking a Senior Transportation Planner in our Charleston, WV office.
B&N Senior Transportation Planner Responsibilities
Deliver a wide range of planning services to clients and develop new client opportunities.
Manage key projects and work closely with a team of planners helping clients deliver comprehensive/master plans, long-range plans, corridor and project level studies, active transportation plans, area plans, safety plans, etc.
Develop client relationships and engage in business development efforts with support from our marketing team and office leaders.
Lead facilitation of meetings and workshops with clients, stakeholders, and the public.
Provide guidance and review of the work of other planning staff.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor of Arts or Science degree in Urban/City/Regional Planning, Geography (urban), or similar.
7+ years minimum of progressively responsible experience in community planning, transportation planning, or safety planning.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required; experience with GIS software preferred.
Excellent written communication skills and detail oriented.
Project management and business development experience.
AICP Certification preferred.
Evening meetings and travel could be required.
