Order Administrator
Join Howard Ternes Packaging Co to fill an immediate Order Administrator position for our Indianapolis‑based manufacturing client Allison Transmission, Inc (ATI). This role will provide administrative support to ATI in their Global Parts Distribution Center located at 5902 Decatur Blvd, Indianapolis, IN 46241.
Scope of Work TERNES Indiana, Inc. is a contracted service provider to ATI. In this position the Order Administrator will provide support to the ATI Sales and Service organization, working closely with Original Equipment Manufacturers and Distributors to ensure timely order fulfillment. The main functions of this position include:
Run various reports and update daily/monthly
Maintain and analyze customer orders
Expedite material as needed through Global Supply Chain organization
Detail oriented
Professional communication both verbally and written
Processing customer orders / upgrades / cancellations
Team player
This position requires the ability to work in a fast‑paced, multi‑task oriented environment. Ideal candidates will be quick learners, reliable, and able to work both as a team member and independently.
Education, Experience, and Skills Requirements This is a fixed contract position that requires a high school diploma or GED. The ideal candidate will possess at least 2 years of experience in an office or administrative capacity. Required skills include typing, data entry, filing, and form completion. Programs used include SAP, Outlook, Microsoft Office (Word/Excel), Microsoft Teams, and the Internet.
