Pay Range Base pay:
$26.25/hr – $31.50/hr (actual pay based on skills and experience).

Job Summary The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) delivers quality care consistent with the scope of practice outlined by the local state nurse practice act. The LPN performs tasks, activities, and functions delegated and may assign duties to others as defined by the state act. The LPN monitors patients as directed by the HSA, DON, RN, Medical Director, or other practitioner.

Minimum Requirements
Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program.
Licensed as a Practical Nurse in the state of employment.
Active CPR certification.
Knowledgeable of state laws and regulations governing practice.
Completion of initial and annual clinical competencies as required.
Essential Functions
Utilize a systematic approach to meet each patient’s health needs.
Provide nursing care within the LPN’s scope of practice, complying with all applicable laws.
Assist in developing and implementing teaching plans based on individual patient needs.
Care for wounds with appropriate cleaning and dressing.
Administer medications to offenders.
Provide care for multiple patients as directed.
Monitor vital signs and report changes to appropriate medical staff.
Document actions in the MAR and medical records.
Perform other nursing duties as assigned by the facility.
