Weekend Caregiver Team Lead – Sunlight Senior Care Job Summary: The Weekend Team Lead will help deliver high-quality, compassionate care to our clients. This role is a hybrid of a caregiver and a supervisor, providing direct care while also serving as a mentor, resource, and quality control point for a specific group of caregivers. The ideal candidate will be an experienced caregiver with strong leadership skills and a passion for helping others succeed.

Position hours: Available on EVERY WEEKEND from 8 a.m.–11 p.m.

Base pay range $18.50/hr - $20.00/hr

Essential Job Functions / Responsibilities

Serve as the first point of contact and a positive role model for a team of assigned caregivers.

Provide hands‑on training and guidance to new and existing caregivers, ensuring they are confident and competent in their duties.

Conduct regular check‑ins and performance evaluations for your team, offering constructive feedback and encouragement.

Plan and organize caregiver appreciation events.

Help with caregiver orientation and onboarding.

Perform direct care visits for clients, filling in for shifts as needed and maintaining a caseload of your own.

Ensure care plans are followed accurately and that all documentation is completed correctly and on time.

Complete five caregiver satisfaction calls per week.

Consult on plans of care.

Proactively identify and resolve any issues or concerns that arise with your team or their clients.

Act as a liaison between your team of caregivers and office staff, communicating updates, concerns, and needs.

Collaborate with scheduling and clinical teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.

Do caregiver drop‑ins.

Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Position Qualifications

Minimum five years’ experience preferred.

CNA / HHA / DSP / PCA experience is mandatory.

Familiarity with medical terminology.

Excellent communication skills and ability to provide a high level of customer service in a fast‑paced environment.

High degree of professionalism, attention to detail, and effectiveness.

Strong troubleshooting, prioritizing, and organizational skills.

Experience with private residence in‑home care scheduling.

Self‑directed and able to work with minimal supervision.

Demonstrate excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills.

A reliable car and valid driver’s license.

Open availability and ability to staff or fill‑in caregiver call‑outs.

Able to lift 50 lbs and no physical limitations to providing personal care.

Comfortable with Microsoft and Google Workspace.
