Overview
The remote Payor Contracting Senior Associate will have primary responsibility for all matters related to payor contracting on behalf of the largest dermatology group in the country, including but not limited to: reviewing, understanding, and negotiating payor contract documents. The primary focus will be on securing rate increases.
Responsibilities
Negotiate payor contracts to address all components of payor contracts: non-economic, operational, and financial terms, all with the goal of achieving employer targets.
Analyze payor fee schedules against Medicare reimbursement, compare to competitor rates, and evaluate proposals for new rates.
Collaborate with internal teams to implement contract terms, trouble shoot issues, and integrate new practices into existing agreements.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required Competencies and Skills:
Significant experience negotiating payor contracts (payor- or provider-side).
In-depth knowledge of provider reimbursement methodologies.
Possess critical thinking skills, attention to detail, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to undertake complex data analysis related to reimbursement models.
Personality to establish and maintain positive working relationships with payor staff.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team.
Must be able to work under strict deadlines.
Demonstrated leadership experience. Serve as an example to others with regard to professional behavior, handling multiple tasks, maintaining a positive attitude, and in response to organizational change. May coach Payor Contracting Associates.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
Education and Skills:
Bachelor's Degree
Master's Degree
7-10 Years of experience

Visual acuity for reading screens and documents
Verbal communication via phone or in person
For this position, the base pay range is $110,000-$120,000 per year. This position is eligible for our annual incentive program. Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education, certifications or training.
