Responsibilities
Promotes and sells consumer and business deposit products by interviewing customers to determine their needs.
Upon receipt of deposit application, proceeds with appropriate product procedure, completing necessary paperwork to ensure that customers’ deposit needs are met in a courteous, timely manner.
Actively participates in bank sales promotions and activities, contributing to the achievement of bank established goals.
Refers business loans, mortgage loans, and investment prospects to the appropriate sales representative within the bank.
Participates in business development activities such as officer call programs, community organizations and special events sponsored by the bank.
Maintains teller cash drawer to assist customers when necessary. Follows cash handling and balancing guidelines as specified in the Retail Operations Manual.
Monitors cash shipment orders through the Federal Reserve Bank and the delivery of cash through American Security Corporation.
Reviews daily overdraft report, makes decisions based on bank policy and procedure prior to 10:00 a.m.
Performs quarterly audit of Travelers Cheques as well as monthly audits of the teller cash drawer and the vault.
Assists Teller with weekly balancing of the ATM.
Provides backup teller support as needed to include processing transactions, answering phones, balancing the vault, assisting customers, etc.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
