POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS) Alutiiq Logistics & Maintenance Services, LLC (ALMS) has an exciting opportunity for a Business Manager at Naval Air Station in Pensacola, FL. The Business Manager supports the Program Management Office and reports to the Program Manager in the performance of all job responsibilities and contract deliverables.

Responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of financial information on all contract required deliverables.

Develop and implement budgets and prepare reports for senior management.

Assess the performance of each Functional Area personnel to ensure performance is on track to meet financial goals.

Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.

Responsible for the purchasing of all material, supplies, services, and equipment required to perform the contract.

Manage corporate purchasing policy and systems.

Review procurement documentation and packages.

Review, approve and track procurement schedules

Manage existing and potential supplier pool and update Approved Vendor Lists.

Provide effective and proactive liaison with departments as necessary to forecast, meet purchase deadlines, and bundle demands as necessary.

Review and approve the government invoices monthly (fixed price and reimbursable).

Review contract mods, track mods and funding, track subcontract mods and invoices.

Monitor material and supply spending and report each week to the Program Manager or appointed representative, ACE’s projected surplus or shortfall for the year.

Monitor other reimbursable CLINs (Minor Services, Government Furnished Equip and Training) to determine if funding is available for requirements.

Run margin analysis reports to monitor CLIN spending.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor degree (B.A.) or technical school; or three to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be fluent in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, federal and state safety and environmental regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.

Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers/employees and in a classroom environment.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry

Ability to apply common sense understanding to interpret and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Business experience with Federal Government (FAR/DFARS knowledge)

Knowledge of DOL wage/benefit determination process.

At least five years’ experience on contracts of similar size and scope.

Salary range: $90,000 to $110,000 per year
