TECH (FULL TIME DAYS) EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT
Join The Valley Health System (VHS) as a TECH (FULL TIME DAYS) EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT. VHS operates six hospitals in Las Vegas and Southern Nevada, providing comprehensive emergency, maternity, pediatric, cardiovascular, surgical, oncology, and stroke care services.
Responsibilities This position is responsible for patient care and service and assigned duties under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Successful completion of a basic cardiac arrhythmia course or an arrhythmia test given by the Education Department. Techs working with IVs must have successfully completed an IV course.
Experience: ER Tech/Phlebotomist experience preferred.
License/Certification: Current BLS Certification required. Approved Crisis Management Course required. Certificate of completion of basic cardiac arrhythmia course preferred. Certified Phlebotomist preferred. IV Certification preferred.
Other: Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.
