Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Day Shift)
Full Time, 40 hours per week, 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m. on weekdays with rotating weekends and holidays. Sign‑On Bonus: $10,000. Location: Grand Blanc, Michigan, Henry Ford Health Genesys Hospital.
General Summary
Use independent professional judgment, analytical skills, and the nursing process to provide a full range of delegated, interdependent, and independent nursing services to patients.
Demonstrate clinical competence, compassion, customer‑service orientation, process focus, and cost‑consciousness in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care.
Respect patients’ rights, dignity, values, culture, preferences, and expressed needs, and provide patient education.
Collaborate with patients, families, staff, and community agencies to develop discharge plans.
Perform assessment, medication reconciliation, and nursing documentation (NIC, NOC) on an ongoing basis.
Administer therapeutic regimens, basic procedures (dressing change, catheterization, NG tube, suctioning), and support patients during invasive procedures.
Maintain peripheral IV therapy, obtain body‑fluid specimens, monitor vital signs and pain, and respond to acute changes in respiratory, neurologic, cardiac, and urinary status.
Participate in emergency response (CPR, emergency equipment checks) and use SBAR for physician communication.
Support quality‑improvement initiatives and contribute to a safe, cost‑effective, and culturally competent care environment.
Lead and mentor staff, communicate expectations, resolve conflicts, and maintain a positive work environment.
Education & Experience Requirements
Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing within 60 days of hire.
Certified BLS Provider (or Instructor) from the AHA within 90 days of hire.
Graduate of an approved RN nursing program.
Three to nine months of on‑the‑job experience desirable for effective application of unit policies and procedures.

Salary: $72,470.00–$111,200.00 per year (based on experience).
