Accounting Clerk Duties:
The Accounting Clerk provides support and coverage across various accounting functions by maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions and assisting the accounting team with daily operations. This role will effectively keep up with company growth and ensure compliance with company policies and financial standards. This is an on-site/hybrid role at our Rothschild, WI office. Pay Range: USD $20.00 - USD $23.00 /Hr. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assist Senior Accountant with month end closing entries including bank and balance sheet reconciliations. Provide back-up support for accounts payable as needed, ensuring timely weekly vendor cash disbursements. Accurately record financial transactions, cash receipts, invoices and checks into accounting software. Process vendor setups, check disbursements and assist with journal entries. Maintain and update monthly fixed assets software and provide assistance with Spectrum companywide account adjustment queue. Support payment processing, returns, administration duties, and process overpayments. Back up end of day process and provide year end audit support. Maintain operational efficiency during staffing absences or peak workloads. Effectively engage and participate in ongoing department projects and company initiatives. Other duties as assigned by management. Must be able to come to work promptly and regularly. Must be able to take direction and work well with others. Must be able to work under the stress of deadlines. Must be able to concentrate and perform accurately. Must be able to react to change productively. Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree in Finance or Accounting Minimum of one year’s experience in accounting. Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, Internet, and email. Strong typing skills. Strong attention to detail. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and any applicable role specific development or design software.
