Role Description
We are seeking a Tax Accountant to join our team on a full-time basis. The role requires on-site work at our office located in Galveston, TX. The Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing and filing tax returns, providing tax planning and advisory services, analyzing financial records to ensure compliance with tax regulations, and staying updated on changes in tax laws. Additional responsibilities include identifying opportunities for tax savings, assisting with audits, and collaborating with team members to maintain accurate financial documents.
Qualifications
Expertise in Tax Preparation, Tax Planning, and compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
Proficiency in Accounting Practices, Financial Analysis, and Bookkeeping
Strong Analytical and Problem‑Solving Skills with attention to detail
Experience using accounting and tax software applications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with clients and colleagues
Detail‑oriented and able to meet tight deadlines with strong organizational and time‑management skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred
Previous experience in a public accounting firm or similar role is an advantage
