Job Responsibilities

Inspect all room equipment and furniture for signs of damage and repair or replace as needed

Ensure that hotel rooms are kept in a sanitary condition and comply with health codes

Perform preventive maintenance activities, such as lubricating parts, replacing filters, and cleaning equipment

Test and troubleshoot electrical systems and components

Repair or replace plumbing fixtures, wiring, air conditioning units, and other equipment

Perform regular maintenance of hotel room furniture, such as cleaning upholstery and polishing wood surfaces

Perform minor repairs on doors, walls, and ceilings

Ensure that hotel rooms are stocked with necessary supplies, such as towels, toilet paper, and soap

Report any major problems or damages to the hotel manager

Follow established safety procedures when performing maintenance work

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum 3 years of experience in hotel maintenance or a related field

Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and other maintenance concepts

Ability to troubleshoot and repair minor issues

Excellent customer service skills

Attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Ability to work in confined spaces

Ability to work with a variety of hand and power tools

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Knowledge of applicable safety regulations and standards

Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently

Ability to read and understand safety instructions
