Category Analyst (CPG) – Acosta
East Coast office, hybrid work (on‑site 3 days a week), supporting category management and sales projects across CPG and retail markets.
Job Summary This role generates data and insights in support of category management and sales initiatives, including category reviews, new item presentations, scorecards, assortment/shelving, and ad‑hoc analytics.
Responsibilities
Provide analytical support for category management and sales projects using various CPG and retailer data sources.
Ensure quality control of data sources and accuracy of deliverables, coordinating with BI associates and data/vendors.
Build and update weekly and monthly dashboards, delivering actionable insights.
Develop sales presentations incorporating syndicated data and other data sources to address business issues.
Work closely with business managers to deliver high‑quality results.
Stay abreast of client KPIs, strategies, innovation, and key market information.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience:
1–3 years of related work experience.
Proficiency in Windows applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of Power BI and advanced macros is a strong asset.
Experience with retailer POS, syndicated data, and/or category/space management tools.
Strong drive for results, with energy and a desire to achieve assigned tasks.
Basic math and CPG principles application in assigned work.
Effective communication, teamwork, and interaction skills.
Physical Requirements
Seeing, color perception, touching.
Compensation Salary Range: $52,200 – $60,000 per year.
