The Global Procurement Devices team is responsible for site procurement across four global GSK manufacturing sites. We are looking for a Site Procurement Specialist to join our team at the Zebulon, NC manufacturing site in the USA.

Role Overview:

As the Site Procurement Specialist (SPS), reporting to the Site Procurement Manager, you will partner with stakeholders across site functional areas—including Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, Technical and Engineering—and work closely with Global Procurement Category teams to support all site procurement activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Financials: Cost & cash – primarily cost of goods/OPEX savings. Drive and measure optimal PPV (Purchase Price Variance) performance and manage/implement value generation initiatives.

Security of Supply: Ensuring that the right raw material or component is delivered at the right time, in the right amount & quality.

Innovation: Driving & capturing new ideas & innovation to optimise supply and process.

Quality: Reduce supplier deviations, maintain long‑term relationships, and drive continuous improvement to capture cost savings. Ensure compliance with global Procurement policies and risk management initiatives.

Service: Drive optimal On‑Time In‑Full delivery of vendors and support capital project delivery for key site initiatives.

Risk: Support implementation of risk mitigation measures to ensure security of supply of key materials and services.

Sustainability: Champion and drive implementation of key initiatives in support of ambitious targets.

Site: Representative for Global Procurement at site, supporting all functions from a Procurement standpoint, including indirect and capital as directed.

About You:

You will have high levels of enthusiasm, initiative and drive to deliver change for the site. You will be highly numerate, with strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and financial management. Previous experience in a complex regulated procurement or supply chain environment (knowledge of SAP) is highly beneficial. Awareness of procurement processes such as sourcing, quotation analysis, contract negotiation and supplier reviews is advantageous. You will be comfortable working with pricing comparisons versus budget and have an awareness of cost benchmark and PPV. High learning agility is required to address tactical scenarios that require organisational skill and speed of delivery. You will be able to communicate with senior stakeholders, including Directors, and multiple functions across Finance, Quality, Supply Chain, Packaging Technology, Senior Procurement Category stakeholders and the Site Procurement teams at the other three manufacturing sites located in the UK, France and Spain.

Basic Qualifications:

2+ years of Procurement or Supply Chain experience in a multi‑site, matrixed organization; experience with procurement tools – Ariba, SAP ECC & BI, Salesforce.

Experience with sourcing, quotation analysis, contract negotiation, supplier review and supplier development.

Bachelor’s degree required (Business Administration, Supply Chain or Engineering).

Strong analytical skills, comfortable working with and interpreting data and numbers.

Ability to manage sensitive partnerships, influence and stakeholder partnering skills coupled with excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Experience working in an FDA regulated environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Must be able to work onsite 3–4 days per week.

Preferred Qualifications:

APICS certification.

CPSM certification.

French and/or Spanish language skills.

Emotional maturity & self‑awareness.

Intellectual, agile and a quick learner.

Experience with supplier qualification in a GxP‑regulated environment.
