This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Systems Engineer. In this role, you will have the opportunity to impact global IT infrastructure by modernizing legacy systems and ensuring high availability of critical services. You will be responsible for both physical and virtual servers, contributing to disaster recovery efforts and implementing automation for proactive infrastructure management. Your skills in managing complex environments and your expertise in various technologies will play a vital role in enhancing operational efficiency and stability.
Accountabilities
Ensure the infrastructure is configured and distributed correctly to meet stability and performance objectives.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the IT infrastructure environment by monitoring performance, configuration, maintenance, and repair.
Produce clear technical documentation and diagrams.
Deploy and manage Windows/Linux/Unix servers and Enterprise storage solutions.
Champion automation for proactive self-management of infrastructure and deployment using PowerShell.
Provide 3rd level technical support and perform troubleshooting as required.
Requirements
Relevant bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of industry experience (Enterprise preferred).
VMware Certified and Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate.
Advanced skills in Linux (installation, hardening, performance tuning, and troubleshooting).
Expert-level knowledge of containerization technologies, particularly Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong cloud experience with Azure and/or AWS.
Proven working experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting UNIX/Linux/Windows-based environments.
