The Team A&M’s Private Equity Performance Improvement Services (PEPI) practice serves upper‑mid‑market and large‑cap private equity firms that engage us to improve operating results at their portfolio companies. The companies we serve range from $50 million to $1 billion plus. Our PEPI services include:

How You Will Contribute We bring a structured and disciplined approach to create and capture value for private equity buyers and their portfolio companies across the full deal lifecycle—from pre‑deal technology, operational, and synergy reviews through ‘Day‑1’ planning to post‑deal implementations. Your expertise will help drive software product and technology due diligence, mergers, integrations, and performance improvement.
Manager Responsibilities
Conduct software product and technology assessments focused on product features, architecture, intellectual property, R&D processes, and hosting infrastructure.
Lead engagements across key transaction types: buy‑side, sell‑side, synergy/cost‑takeout, and post‑acquisition value creation.
Manage data requests and coordinate with bankers, clients, and target teams to gather artifacts and documentation.
Analyze qualitative and quantitative data, synthesize findings, and develop client‑ready exhibits for interim and final deliverables.
Maintain deliverable quality and build strong day‑to‑day client relationships.
Supervise and mentor junior staff.
Qualifications
5–8 years of professional consulting or relevant industry experience; at least five years in tech consulting or software/tech‑enabled services product management.
Experience with private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, or transaction or tech due diligence is desired.
Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to produce executive‑level, client‑ready materials.
Track record of working with business leaders (directors and above) and private equity deal staff.
Strong analytical skills in both quantitative and qualitative domains.
Prior software or product experience, or advisory experience with a top‑tier strategy firm, niche advisory, or Big‑4 consultancy.
Ability to translate technical insights into commercial implications.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or another highly analytical field.
Willingness and flexibility to travel up to 75% of the time.

Benefits Summary
Full‑time positions and part‑time positions over 30 hours qualify for fringe benefits such as health care plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages.
Eligible employees receive an annual discretionary contribution to a 401(k) retirement savings plan.
Paid time off includes vacation, personal days, 72 hours of sick time (prorated for part‑time), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave.
Salary range: $125,000–$190,000 annually, depending on education, experience, skills, and geography.
Discretionary bonus program based on individual and firm performance.
