Responsibilities
Develops and maintains the Quality Management System within the company
ISO 9001 Champion
Point of contact for ISO QMS auditor
Coordinates CAPA activities
Plans, directs and maintains all aspects of internal quality audits
Manages in-house calibration process
Manages customer returned goods (RMA) process
Directs and manages all Quality Control functions within the organization
Supervises, trains and develops incoming and in-process inspection personnel
Develop comprehensive product quality standards and procedures, integrating them into ASI product design process and production processes
Decision-maker regarding product criteria to maximize product quality while minimizing costs and waste
Writes, revises and trains personnel on corporate Quality processes
Main point of contact with suppliers to ensure quality of purchased parts, including:
Issuing Supplier non-conformances, follow-up and CAPA approval
Performing Supplier on-site audits
Maintaining and communicating quarterly supplier scorecards
Leads internal CAPA teams and activities; educates team members on root cause investigations and effective corrective actions and follow-up
Communicate with ASI customers and suppliers in a professional manner
Conveys quality and process awareness to internal and external team members during product design and development
Drives ongoing process improvement through data collection and analysis
Understands, and communicates principals of Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and Control Plans, through active participation and/or training when required
Track company performance against Quality standards and metrics
Develop effective quality indicators and report the results to all levels of the business
Participates in strategic and functional planning
Performs document control per the QMS
Perform performance reviews with direct reports
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or relevant professional experience
5-7 years of quality management experience
QA experience (Corrective and Preventive Actions, PFMEA, Control Plans, 6 Sigma, 5S and Lean manufacturing)
Experience with machined products and gears is a plus
Experience with DC motors is a plus
Detailed knowledge of manufacturing and production processes is preferred
Must have experience working with domestic and offshore vendors and manufacturers
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong computer skills - MS Office Proficient (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
Experience with Enterprise Quality Control software is a plus
Detail oriented with strong follow through
Must be able to organize and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Must be proficient working with diverse personalities from all levels of the organization
