Position Description This position is responsible for the issue of gauges to the floor and for inspecting and calibrating new and repaired tools, fixtures, jigs, and gauges prior to release for use in production or inspection.

Essential Functions

Inspects and calibrate gauges in stock and/or service and makes minor repairs or adjustments as required

Assist others on inspection and calibration of all types of gauges.

Sign in and sign out gauges as needed on the floor, and performs other duties in the department as assigned by Supervisor

Data logging new and old gages into electronic gage registry

Assists with ordering new gaging as requested to support inspection activities

Required Education & Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent with knowledge of advanced shop math.

Basic understanding of metrology principles

Be able to use a wide variety of precision mechanical, optical and electro-mechanical measuring instruments

3+ years experience in a manual machine shop/inspection environment strongly preferred

Must be US Citizen
