Project Manager, Human Resources
(~5 hours per week) who wants to use their existing skills and learn new skills while helping strengthen American Democracy.
About Us WeVote is a nonpartisan get‑out‑the‑vote nonprofit startup and a celebrated Fast Forward technology grantee. The organization is a movement of over 120 passionate volunteers building open‑source mobile technologies that mobilize millions of voters on Election Day. We aim to provide a complete voting experience in 8 minutes, including our
WeVote Ballot Guide
app. The organization is 100% remote.
What You’ll Do
Run weekly Agile meetings for the HR team
Learn and perform all onboarding tasks so you can coach other team members, and perform some tasks yourself
Facilitate communication within the team and with other WeVote teams: Marketing Strategy, Marketing Social, Newsletter Team, Analytics & Ads, Research Team, Internship Program, Recruiting
Work with individuals to find tasks that fit each member’s skill level
Review work product and propose strategies for improving efficiency
Support and track all team members’ OKRs and Key Results, and train team members unfamiliar with OKRs
Follow up with contributors as their deadlines approach, adjust schedules, and communicate changes to everyone affected by delays
Provide brief reports in meetings via email and the team newsletter about key project status
Who you are: Must‑haves
Available at least 1 hour each week during core team hours, M‑F 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. in your time zone
Committed to strengthening American Democracy
Striving for personal excellence
Willing to support other volunteers
Located in the US, able to dedicate one or two hours that overlap with US PT per week
Nice to have
More than 2 hours per week available to volunteer
