JOB DESCRIPTION Insight Global is looking for a sharp, entrepreneurial‑minded Geotechnical Professional Engineer to join an innovative ground screw solutions company sitting remotely. This is a full‑time, permanent role with competitive base salary, bonus structure, and comprehensive benefits. This role requires quarterly travel to Des Moine, IA.
This in‑house design engineer will lead the development, deployment, and promotion of the company's ground screw foundation systems. This is a unique opportunity to help lead the technical direction of a growing company while working closely with sales and leadership teams to bring cutting‑edge foundation solutions to market.
To be successful in this role, we are seeking foundation engineers or structural engineers with at least 5 years of engineering experience.
Day to day responsibilities:
Serve as the company’s technical authority on ground screw foundation systems
Partner with the sales team to provide technical expertise during client engagements, proposals, and presentations
Lead the development of engineering standards, design tools, and installation guidelines
Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to support project planning and sales
Design and validate custom foundation solutions for diverse applications
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings
Build and eventually lead a high‑performing engineering team as the company grows
Founding engineering role with leadership potential
Path to Director of Engineering or Chief Engineer
Influence product strategy and innovation
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Active PE (Professional Engineer) license in the U.S.
Degree in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering
5+ years of experience in foundation design, geotechnical systems, or construction engineering
Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with sales, product, and field teams
Seniority level Associate
