We are seeking a results-oriented, highly organized
Philanthropy Specialist
to help lead the planning and execution of high-impact fundraising and donor-engagement events. This role is ideal for a professional who excels at event logistics, relationship management, and mission-driven work—and who takes pride in delivering polished, meaningful experiences for donors, volunteers, and partners.
As the Philanthropy Specialist, you will play a critical role in advancing our fundraising strategy by managing signature events that build long-term donor relationships, increase visibility, and drive philanthropic support for the Scouting mission. You will work cross-functionally with staff, volunteers, vendors, and sponsors while maintaining ownership of timelines, systems, and execution.
This is a hands-on role that combines event management, nonprofit operations, donor stewardship, and technical coordination in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
What You’ll Do Fundraising Events & Operations
Plan, organize, and execute annual fundraising and donor-engagement events from concept through completion
Develop event themes, timelines, run-of-show documents, and operational plans
Coordinate logistics with venues, vendors, sponsors, and internal stakeholders
Provide on-site leadership during events to ensure smooth execution
Donor & Sponsor Engagement
Support sponsorship fulfillment and donor recognition efforts
Ensure a high-quality donor experience before, during, and after events
Assist with post-event stewardship, reporting, and follow-up
Systems, Data & Administration
Manage event trackers, registration platforms, and event webpages
Maintain accurate sponsorship and donor records in the CRM
Process invoices, contracts, and event documentation with attention to detail
Collaboration & Growth
Partner closely with the Philanthropy team to support annual fundraising goals
Work with volunteers and committees to align efforts and timelines
Adapt plans with flexibility and professionalism in a dynamic environment
What We’re Looking For Required / Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred (nonprofit management, communications, business, or related field a plus)
Experience in fundraising events, nonprofit development, event management, or operations
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
Comfort working with CRM systems, registration tools, and event technology
