Job Title
GCP AI Architect – Contract
Location Onsite – Multiple Locations (Cary, NC and 85 Great Portland Street, London, England, W1W 7LT)
Compensation
$40-$45 per hour
40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
Architect and scale cloud services for the App Manager/GSIS/HES ecosystem on Google Cloud to handle high‑volume app traffic, telemetry pipelines, and timeseries data with robust release management.
Design PaaS‑native architectures for ingestion, transformation, streaming, and timeseries storage (BigQuery/Bigtable); enable DaaS/portal for data discovery and controlled consumption.
Operationalize ML using BigQuery ML and Vertex AI; establish model lifecycle, validation, monitoring, and rollback.
Implement CI/CD & DevSecOps for app services; enforce coding standards, scalability patterns, and security baselines.
Integrate with HES/MDMS/GSIS and utility systems; ensure secure, reliable APIs and contracts.
Build real‑time observability (metrics/logs/traces/health dashboards) for Java applets/services.
Skill Expectations & Experience
7–12 years in cloud platform architecture with strong experience in GCP, microservices, streaming, and timeseries databases.
Experience with Vertex AI/BigQuery ML, API gateways, and high‑scale event pipelines in utilities/IoT.
Proficiency in CI/CD, DevSecOps, and secure coding practices.
Leadership in architecture design with cross‑functional collaboration and concise documentation.
Qualifications
B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech degree.
GCP Architect – 7 years (Required).
BigQuery/BigQuery ML/Vertex AI – 7 years (Required).
GCP Professional certification (Required).
Knowledge of Java and observability technologies.
Experience working with high‑volume application traffic and telemetry pipelines.
