Overview Site Coordinators are responsible for managing Instructor staff and programming at designated after‑school sites while supervising students participating in the program. They maintain open communication with the Expanded Learning Manager and Director, and disseminate important information to Instructors. Coordinators must be high energy, organized, and able to keep a fun, structured atmosphere.

Essential Job Functions

Manage one to two after‑school sites and oversee all staff at the sites.

Spend 40–60% of time on administrative/managerial duties and the remainder in the classroom with children and mentoring staff.

Attend all scheduled Site Coordinator meetings with Expanded Learning Managers and Directors.

Meet and report regularly to the Expanded Learning Manager regarding program, site, and staff performance.

Hold weekly staff meetings with staff members at designated sites.

Meet with the School Principal, Principal on Special Assignment, or appointed District representative at least once monthly.

Develop strong relationships with school administration, district personnel, and parents.

Assist the Manager of Expanded Learning with key HR functions, including interviewing, hiring, and training new staff and supporting professional development of existing staff.

Manage interns and volunteers at site.

Schedule staff, manage requests for substitutes, and work with ELM, ELD, and Education Department to prepare and implement program activities.

Oversee curriculum, including enrichment specialists and vendors to ensure engaging, interactive educational experiences.

Organize program materials for lessons and activities, and ensure weekly planning forms are completed.

Conduct all purchasing for the center and manage staffing levels and expenses prudently.

Ensure compliance with program quality standards and state regulations.

Ensure students receive constant supervision in a safe, supported environment.

Collect, maintain, and ensure accuracy of all attendance records.

Ensure compliance with student‑to‑staff ratios.

Maintain all assigned health and safety, education, and HR training.

Participate in professional development enrichment opportunities to enhance student learning.

Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain safety and support homework completion, fun fitness activities, and play guidance.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma required.

Meet district requirements for a Paraprofessional (varies by district).

Minimum 1–2 years of experience in ECE, including at least 1 year of mentoring and leading other adults or teaching staff.

Other Qualifications

Understanding of behavior management and effective resolution techniques.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Highly organized with exceptional interpersonal and partnering relationship skills.

Ability to keep track of all curriculum and binders at site.

Enthusiastic, highly motivated, and proven leadership and team‑building skills.

Excellent time management and customer service skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Flexible, team‑oriented, child‑focused, and eager to make a difference in children’s lives.

When assigned more than one site, available to travel between sites.

Meet state‑specific requirements: Fingerprint LIVE SCAN, CPR/FA, Medical Certificate/TB test, Mandated Reporter training.

Shift Type Full Time

Schedule Monday – Friday, 9:30 am – 6:00 pm
