1st shift 4:50am - 5:00pm

Position Summary
This position is primarily responsible for industrial painting, including preparing surfaces and selecting the appropriate paint to ensure high-quality results that meet established standards. In addition to painting, the specialist will perform routine maintenance on equipment related to building and grounds upkeep. The role requires skills in industrial painting, carpentry, drywall installation, plumbing, and masonry to address minor repairs and enhancements. Seasonal responsibilities include snow removal during winter months, ensuring safe and accessible environments for all.

Able to work independently, strong attention to detail
Completion of daily work orders
Troubleshooting skills (electrical and mechanical)
Building, grounds, and equipment maintenance – Repairs (e.g., Lawn Tractor)
Painting (Exterior and Interior)
Preparing surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers
Selecting and mixing appropriate paints and coatings according to specifications
Applying paints and coatings using sprayers, brushes, and rollers
Setting up and maintaining painting equipment
Ensuring painted surfaces meet quality standards and are uniform and free of bubbles and debris
Inspecting final product for inconsistencies or defects
Performing minor repair work on surfaces to be painted
Operate power industrial equipment (Forklift, Boom Lift, Scissor Lift)
Repair and maintain building doors, overheads, high-speed doors, dock lock
Snow removal
Other projects as assigned
This role will be an entry point to a Utilities Technician role if desired
Requirements
High school diploma or GED is preferred
Related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
Upon hire, employee will complete company-paid training at Sherwin Williams
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Abide by all plant rules/policies
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to sit, stand, walk, crouch, squat, stoop, reach, crawl, twist, climb, and lift 50 pounds; exposure to cold, heat, extreme noise, outdoors
