Description
We are looking for dependable, resourceful 1st Shift Maintenance Mechanic for our manufacturing facility in Reno, NV. Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment is preferred.
Responsibilities
Ensure operation of machinery by completing maintenance on production, packaging, processing equipment, and utility systems.
Read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, schematics, service manuals, etc.
Perform preventative maintenance and take corrective action to prevent equipment down time.
Maintain parts and supplies inventory and reorder as necessary.
Follow all required safety practices including lockout‑tagout and wearing required PPE.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High school diploma or general education (GED)
Previous mechanical and electrical machine repair experience necessary
Knowledge of PLC system and interpreting electrical schematics preferred
Ability to read and understand manuals, blueprints and procedures
Basic computer skills
Able to perform basic mathematical functions
At least 2 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing, packaging, industrial or warehouse environment
Sound judgment, problem solving and critical thinking skills
Ability to lift 50 lbs and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently
