Full Time Summary
The Logistics Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of the transportation and logistics team. This includes coordinating with vendors, managing the scheduling of shipments, ensuring compliance with regulations, and leading a team of logistics coordinators. The Logistics Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring efficient and effective logistics operations to meet customer needs. Duties And Responsibilities
Supervise the team in daily release schedules for each client. Create an effective packing schedule based on routine shipments for cut offs and monitor these closely with the help of the Packing Coordinator. Communicate with Air and Ocean freight supervisors to monitor shipments and timelines for cut offs for packing. Ensure all Material Receipts are completed within KPI’s by coordinating with the Packing Coordinator. Prioritize workload based on schedules and cut offs. Monitor workload during the day and ensure all issues are dealt with in a timely and effective manner. Monitor overtime and ensure that if worked, it is 100% billed back to the client where possible. Assist in training the Packing Coordinator, especially cross training of the accounts. Run packed not billed reports daily/weekly to ensure freight packed in a calendar month is billed in a timely manner. Ensure the Packing Coordinator runs reports based on data in C2C including Receiving, Material Receipt, Packing and Delivery Reports daily. Organize weekly meetings within the team to provide feedback and upcoming issues for customer needs and team members. Work closely with warehouse staff to resolve any pending customer/vendor issues, including walks out in the warehouse if needed. Educational Background / Work Experience
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics and transportation operations, with at least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role. Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership and management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics management software Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field Experience in the transportation and logistics industry, preferably in freight forwarding sector Experience with international logistics and customs regulations Certification in logistics or supply chain management Language Skills
Fluent in English (oral and written) Computer Literacy
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics management software is required. Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS) is preferred. At Will Employment
