is now accepting qualified applications for Dispatching Supervisor at our Prestress Concrete manufacturing plant in Cedar Park, Texas.
Position Purpose The Dispatch Supervisor leads a team of dispatchers and drivers to ensure timely freight delivery while maintaining strict compliance with safety and transportation regulations.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor dispatchers; conduct performance reviews and manage shift schedules.
Operational Planning: Oversee daily route planning and resource allocation to optimize fuel efficiency and on-time performance.
Compliance Oversight: Ensure all drivers and dispatchors follow Department of Transportation (DOT), federal, and state regulations, including monitoring driver logs and Hours of Service (HOS).
Real-Time Monitoring: Track fleet movement using GPS and Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to proactively address delays or emergencies.
Problem Resolution: Act as the first point of contact for driver incidents, vehicle breakdowns, and customer delivery issues.
Performance Tracking: Maintain and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as cost-per-mile, on-time delivery rates, and driver productivity.
Fleet Management: Analyze tractor and trailer capacity needs to support workload demands for leased and owned assets.

Supervisory Responsibility The supervisor’s position can be required to manage up to 30 employees at one time. The supervisor is responsible for making sure all employees are abiding by the company rules, safety regulations and that work is being completed in an efficient manner. This position reports to the Plant Manager.
Work Environment The majority of work will take place in an office environment. There may be some tasks that are exposed to the elements of all types of weather.
Schedule & Employment Type
Job Type: Full-time-Exempt
Schedule: Day shift / Monday–Friday / Saturdays and overtime as required
Pay: Based on experience and qualifications
Travel Minimal travel requirements within the state of Texas.
Required Education and Experience
Typically requires 3 years of experience in dispatching or trucking operations, with 1–3 years in a supervisory capacity.
Strong decision-making under pressure, excellent communication, and a proactive mindset for conflict resolution.
Preferred Education and Experience
5 years supervisory experience
5 years in trucking environment
High School Diploma
