Our client is seeking
Brownfield Redevelopment Project Manager
to lead environmental site assessments, remediation projects, and Brownfield redevelopment initiatives from concept through construction. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong regulatory knowledge, and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams while maintaining excellent client relationships.
Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8AM–5PM
Hybrid:
2–3 days in office per week; remaining days remote
Travel:
Local travel to job sites required
Responsibilities:
Mentor junior staff and support team development.
Track project costs and ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
Prepare proposals and support business development activities.
Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and risk mitigation plans.
Lead internal and external design reviews and provide technical guidance.
Prepare billing information and assist with collections on outstanding accounts.
Manage full lifecycle Brownfield redevelopment projects, including site assessment, remediation, design, and construction.
Lead Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and oversee remediation strategies.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (EPA, CERCLA, state Brownfield programs)
Advise clients and municipalities on redevelopment incentives and funding opportunities.
Coordinate with developers, local governments, community groups, and environmental consultants.
Maintain strong client communication and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications/Must Haves:
Stable work history with demonstrated project delivery success.
Strong client relationship management and communication skills.
Strong knowledge of EPA, CERCLA, and state Brownfield programs.
Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects.
5–10 years of direct Brownfield redevelopment experience, including Phase I/II ESAs and remediation.
At least 5 years of project management experience in environmental consulting or redevelopment.
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
Business development or proposal‑writing experience.
Mentoring experience with junior environmental staff.
Familiarity with project financials, budgeting, and cost tracking.
Experience advising clients or municipalities on redevelopment incentives.
