Position Summary The Warehouse Specialist will assist with the day-to-day warehousing functions at a specific distribution center or cross dock. The ideal candidate will support a team of warehouse associates to meet operational goals and support the Operations Manager, Warehouse by performing traditional Warehouse Associate functions while also supporting warehouse management systems (WMS) operations and ensuring accurate inventory records.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Operates all material handling equipment in a safe manner

Working with different departments to meet demands of the business

Communicating any issues to the supervisor that can arise from loading and unloading

Keeping up to date with new systems and technology

Participate in daily inventory processes, auditing and researching discrepancies

Demonstrate reliability and commitment to punctuality

Ensuring timely reporting of loads/returns compliance within industry fair standards and the agreed upon communication mechanism

Participate in goal setting and taking accountability for results

Enforce company compliance standards

Support an environment that fosters open and positive team communication

Enforce location safety management plans

Demonstrate reliability and commitment to punctuality

Perform other duties as assigned (may vary based on client requirements)

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred

Experience with leading a team to goal achievement, prior supervisory experience a plus

Ability to prioritize and organize work, along with strong follow-up, analytical, problem‑solving, and sound decision‑making skills

Ability to effectively communicate in both verbal and written forms with team members and management.

Ability to work overtime (as needed) to meet operational and customer demands

Ability to maintain performance in a fast‑paced environment

Capability to multi‑task with excellent time‑management skills

Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

Two (2) years or more of experience in logistics, warehouse, or industry‑related field preferred

The employee is occasionally required to maneuver about the work areas and move/manipulate various objects and there may be an occasional need to lift up to 100 pounds. This position may require extended work hours and travel.
