BayCare's staffing resource office is currently in search of experienced ICU nurses who are passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community.
Positions details- Full-Time Core Float Pool ICU-floats between region 1 or region 3 hospital ICU's.
Position Details
Location:
Region 1 includes Morton Plant, Mease Countryside, Mease Dunedin, Morton Plant Northbay and St Anthony's Hospitals and Region 3 includes Bartow Medical Center, South Florida Baptist and Winter Haven Hospitals.
Status:
Full-Time-non-exempt
Shift:
6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
Every 3rd Saturday & Sunday, in addition 2 Fridays in 6-week schedule
On Call:
No
Always in person
Responsibilities
Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of ICU patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
Care for patients throughout their recovery in critical care.
Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition.
Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients.
Coordinates and documents appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge.
High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient.
Professional accountability and development.
Requirements
RN (Registered Nurse) License
Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
2-year experience of ICU in an Acute Care setting
BLS certification
ACLS certification with the American Heart Association
