Overview UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital, formerly known as The Villages Regional Hospital and acquired by University of Florida Health in January 2020, has been serving residents of The Villages as well as patients in Lake, Sumter and Marion counties since 2002. Responsibilities Under the direction of the Manager and Supervisor and in association with the radiologists, the technologist conducts themselves in a professional manner, responding to patient needs and supporting their colleagues and associates in providing quality patient care. The technologist performs services in accordance with an accepted standard of practice and demonstrates expertise in minimizing radiation exposure to the patient, self, and other members of the health care team.
Qualifications
Post‑High School education
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology
State of FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license
ARRT certification
BLS certification
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
