Pediatric Dental Assistant Join Great Expressions Dental Centers as a Pediatric Dental Assistant and positively impact patient oral health in a fast‑paced, supportive environment.

This position requires travel between our Pembroke Pines and Coconut Creek offices; mileage reimbursement is provided.

Responsibilities

Assist the dental team in providing exceptional patient care.

Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean, organized environment.

Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post‑treatment care.

Support dentists during procedures, anticipating their needs for a smooth workflow.

Perform basic dental procedures under the guidance of a licensed dentist.

Manage appointment scheduling and maintain patient records accurately.

Qualifications

Previous dental assisting experience or relevant education preferred; training will be provided.

Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.

Strong communication skills and a friendly, compassionate demeanor.

Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Proficiency in dental software and technology is a plus.

State Requirements

Connecticut: certification and proof of formal training to expose X‑rays.

Florida: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification and proof of formal training to expose X‑rays (including FDOH Permit to expose X‑rays).

Georgia: CPR certification, EFDA certification, and proof of formal training to expose X‑rays.

Massachusetts: CPR certification, proof of formal training to expose X‑rays, BORID certification, and annual CE requirements as per state regulations.

Michigan: evidence of X‑ray training certification upon hiring. If not completed, an 8‑week period is provided.

New Jersey: proof of X‑ray training.

New York: not applicable.

Ohio: proof of formal training to expose X‑rays (including FDOH Permit to expose X‑rays).

Texas: CPR certification, TSBDE: TX State Board of Dental Examiners.
