Job Title Lab Technician

Location Magnera – Benson, NC

Schedule 12‑Hour Night Shift | Every Other Weekend | Holidays as Needed

Position Summary The Lab Technician is responsible for performing in‑process and finished product testing to ensure products meet quality specifications. This role works closely with Quality and Operations teams to identify issues, support continuous improvement, and maintain Magnera’s commitment to safety, quality, and compliance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Perform all tasks in a safe manner and comply with all safety policies and procedures

Understand and fully utilize all test procedures

Operate diagnostic and laboratory equipment required to perform testing

Perform in‑process and finished product testing as required by specifications or assigned by management

Coordinate with the QA Lead, Shift Supervisor, Line Leader, Production Technician, Process Engineer, and other Operations team members to resolve issues or discrepancies

Actively participate in safety, product, and compliance audits

Accurately enter data into Quality Windows, analyze results, and report trends indicating potential process issues

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for QA and Operations teams

Communicate effectively with internal customers and coworkers to solve problems and improve team performance

Train others as needed

Work overtime as required

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent (required)

Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience

Ability and willingness to rotate shifts as needed to cover vacations, sick leave, or business needs

Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document and analyze data

Effective communication and teamwork skills

Work Environment & Schedule

This is a 12‑hour night shift position

Includes every other weekend and possible holidays

Magnera – Benson operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year based on business needs
