Job Overview
Full‑time Dental Hygienist role at a state‑of‑the‑art dental practice in Fort Meade, servicing Military Families and Military Veterans. The practice has a family feel and focuses on building relationships with patients to provide the best quality care.
Responsibilities
Participate in daily morning team huddle and weekly Hygiene Huddle.
Clean calcareous deposits, accretions, and stains from teeth and beneath margins of gums.
Identify conditions such as gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis.
Apply fluorides and other cavity‑preventing agents to arrest dental decay.
Chart conditions of decay and disease for diagnosis and treatment by dentist.
Present treatment plans to patients and provide health education to improve and maintain oral health.
Take dental x‑rays and impressions.
Record treatment information in patient records.
Demonstrate strong organizational skills.
Build rapport with patients.
Provide excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Requirements
Registered State Dental Hygienist license.
At least 1–2 years of Dental Hygienist experience.
X‑ray certification.
CPR/BLS certification.
Valid driver license and reliable transportation.
Willingness to obtain Real ID prior to starting.
Experience with Dentrix preferred; training will be provided.
Extensive HIPAA knowledge.
